What data this site collects

Phuket.as has no account registration, checkout, advertising tracker, or analytics service. The newsletter form collects an email address only when a visitor actively submits the form and confirms consent. The site does not ask newsletter subscribers for a name, home address, payment details, or passport information.

Like most websites, the hosting server may create routine access and error logs. These records can include an IP address, browser and device details, the requested page, the referring page, response status, and request time. They are used to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the website. Phuket.as does not publish these records or use them to build advertising profiles.

Newsletter email and consent data

What is stored

A newsletter subscription stores the normalized email address, the subscription time, the privacy-policy consent version, and the page where the form was submitted. The subscription endpoint uses an IP address temporarily for rate limiting but does not write the IP address to the subscriber file.

Where it is stored

Subscriber records are held in an access-restricted server file at .data/newsletter-subscribers.jsonl. This file is outside the public website directory and cannot be downloaded through the site. Email addresses are not sold or shared for third-party advertising.

How long it is kept

The email address is retained while the subscription is active. Every newsletter must provide an unsubscribe option. An unsubscribe request removes the address from future newsletter sends and the active subscriber list.

Where itinerary data is stored

Saved on your device

The Phuket and Bangkok itinerary builders save your selected trip length, pace, interests, day plans, notes, and custom stops in local storage on your own device. This information is not sent to a Phuket.as server.

How to remove a saved plan

• The browser keys begin with phuket-as-itinerary-.
• The plan remains available to the same browser until you clear it.
• Use the builder’s Reset button to remove the saved plan.
• You can also remove it by clearing site data in your browser.

If you use the copy or print controls, your browser and operating system perform that action. Do not place sensitive personal or payment information in itinerary notes.

External map tiles and outbound links

The interactive map requests map images from Esri. That provider receives ordinary technical request information, including your IP address, so it can deliver the tiles. Phuket.as does not send the contents of your itinerary to the map provider.

Links to restaurants, attractions, government services, booking resources, Michelin Guide, and other third-party websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. A link does not give that website access to itinerary information stored in this site’s local storage.

Cookies, accounts, and payments

Phuket.as does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It uses local browser storage to remember that the newsletter invitation was dismissed or that a subscription was completed, which prevents the prompt from appearing repeatedly. This preference does not contain the email address. The site does not operate user accounts and does not process payments.

Security and data minimization

The site is designed to collect as little visitor data as practical. Browser security headers restrict where scripts, styles, images, and network requests can load from. Environment credentials are kept outside public source files and are not included in frontend code.

No internet service can promise perfect security. Avoid entering confidential information into free-text itinerary fields and confirm that you are using the official phuket.as domain before relying on this policy.

Changes to this policy

This page will be revised when the site starts using a new data processor or adds a feature that changes how visitor information is handled. Material changes should be described here in plain language.
